Operations Engineer

If you have. . .

. . . an university degree in computer science or equivalent professional training;
. . . sound knowledge of web and application servers (specifically Apache, Tomcat, Jboss);
. . . experience with scripting (Perl, Bash, Python, etc.);
. . . experience in the operation of databases (MySQL, Sybase) and storage systems;
. . . good working knowledge of Linux/Unix;
. . . very good written and verbal English skills;
. . . good team player abilities;
. . . desire for continuous self improvement;
. . . readiness to travel.

Would be a plus. . .

. . . experience in the IT/Software sector;
. . . Java programming skills;
. . . familiarity with build tools (Ant/Maven);
. . . German language skills.

What would you do?

You will. . .

. . . ensure the smooth operation of highly available platforms for our hosting products
. . . be responsible for the performance analysis and optimization, execution of roll-outs for products, features and upgrades
. . . analyze, document and solve technical problems
. . . support our team in the administration of our middle-ware systems.
. . . act as technical contact person for other departments, such as software development, project and product management.
