Master level in connection with social-economical topics, with at least 5 to 10 years of relevant experience for the project, including past assignments concerning various groups of population (institutional, industrial agricultural, urban and countryside populations…)

The required abilities for the candidate are as follows :
• Languages : Romanian (mother-tongue), English (fluency) + French if possible
• Dynamism and high motivation
• Autonomy, smartness and resourcefulness in difficult situations
• Ability in team works and reporting techniques
• Critical and synthesis attitude
• Availability
• Computer : internet, WORD, EXCEL
• Rigour, strictness and abilities to produce concise and clear short documents
• Driving licence

Under the European funded project "Flood risk Management Strategy", the assignements will be :

• Analysis of social acceptability of natural risk (flood) :
o Data and information collection in connection with the Romanian STAS system and classification
o Information and survey collection at the European stage on unbelief about risk and risk perception by populations, agriculture and industry managers, as well as local authorities
o Participation to the critical analysis of existing approaches
o Participation to the elaboration of an adapted approach for Romania
• Participation to the elaboration of a Romania-adapted methodology for flood-caused direct damage assessment
o Inventory and analysis of classes of stakes as well as levels and kinds of vulnerability to flood
o Determination of unitary costs to be considered indirect damage assessment
o First analysis of social-economical indirect damages
• Participation to the application of the Romanian methodology for direct damage assessment on three pilot valleys
o On-the-field surveys about real vulnerability and stakes
o Application of the methodology for financial assessment
o Eventually, development of a specific software
• Participation to Environmental Impact Analyses (for social-economical aspects)
• Participation to the conception of a national unitary system for information and education about flood risks (for social-economical aspects)
• Eventually, cost / benefit analysis for three Cohesion Fund Applications on the three pilot valleys following European standards
