IT System Administrator

1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc)
2. Educational level: High school diploma or equivalent. Better but not compulsory if with University degree.
3. Fluent in English;
4. Ability to handle multiple tasks at once and to adjust priorities as required
5. Superior oral and written communication (particularly pertaining to system documentation)
6. Excellent technical problem solving ability
7. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to function effectively in a team environment;.

• Provide helpdesk support to employees; trouble shooting problems with the network, PCs and printers;
• Rollout and maintain user systems (Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP)
• Rollout and maintain Microsoft Windows server systems
• Perform backups
• Inventory control and logging
• Install and configure various software packages under guidance from the corporate office (e.g. SQL, Anti-Virus, remote Control programs)
• Rollout and maintain routers and switches on our data network. Monitor and maintain data/phone lines.
• Setup and monitor Internet and VPN connectivity with remote offices
• Ensure adequate supplies are available
• Phone system support
• Vendor liaison - ensure equipment is shipped or delivered on time, without damage and inventoried. Also deal with local vendors regarding issues.
