CANDIDATUL IDEAL: Wanted -- Product marketing manager
What does this mean? You have to be able to grow our website, of course! :)
You have to be talented, organized, and like to have a good time while working.. we are a good team -- if you can occasionally tolerate beer + pizza + late nights at the office it is a plus
You must have a solid background in internet marketing with a proven track record for building traffic on large websites through customer marketing, affiliate marketing, SEO, traffic, direct ad purchases, and anything else creative that might built traffic, customers, and profit to websites!
You must be able to submit a portfolio of websites where you have built up traffic levels and increased revenue through various internet and traditional marketing methods.
We want someone who is self-motivated, highly organized, and extremely professional. You must be good working with all different personality types. You must be someone who takes initiative to get things done.
It's best if you keep abreast of new marketing methods through participation in the marketing community so you can help adapt and grow your product!
Formal requirements:
3-5 years of experience as Web Marketing Manager or Web Project Manager or 5 as Services Product Manager
Strong marketing and project management background, preferably Prince2 or PMI certified
At least 1 to 2 years of e-commerce experience
RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII: As a product marketing manager, you will be completely in charge of the bottom line revenue for one of our very large websites. The website is ADULT in nature -- you must obviously be ok with this -- it is one of the biggest adult domain names possible and a very large site with millions of visitors. We are very professional and highly profitable.
Basically, you will be in charge of all product management and marketing of the website. This translates to: making sure we have a high quality product and doing everything it takes to make our site huge -- e.g. ad buys, traffic purchases, SEO (w/help of our SEO team), affiliate marketing, etc.
Formal job responsibilities:
1. Identifies the business need, defines the product features to maximize income from all the defines revenue channels
2. Integrates the above in a product plan and, together with the Team Lead, defines the development schedule and release plan
2. Manages the product budget
3. Defines and coordinates the marketing campains and SEO efforts to promote the website
4. Coordinates the relationship with advertising networks and clients
Detailed job responsibilities:
1. Product development
1.1 Defines the strategic vision and roadmap for one of our websites
1.2 Monitors the market and indentifies the main competitors
1.3 By analysing the existing competitors, business revenue channel requirements and target specificity, defines the required functionalities and capabilities in terms of value to the end client and company
1.4 Defines the product plan and clearly articulates it to the Web Development, Marketing&Sales, and Customer Support personel
1.5 Partneres with the Team Lead to defines technical views of the product features and provide business guidance throuout the development process, as well as in defining the development tasks under the product release plan
1.6 Takes ownership resolving conflicting priorities between support of existing features and development of new features, as well as between new features and platform improvments
1.7 Identifies new ways to maximise the cash return under the core revenue channels
1.8 Under the supervision of the Financial Manager, evaluates the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
2. Product Marketing
2.1 Builds traffic to the website by buying traffic and ads, coordinating with our SEO manager to grow site organically, and utilizing affiliate marketing
2.2 Formulates, directs and coordinates marketing activities and policies to promote products and services.
2.3 Identifys, develops, and evaluatse marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors.
2.4 Develops pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction.
2.5 Initiate market research studies and analyze their findings.
2.6 Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.
2.7 Work with our team to develop and publish fresh, quality content on our website
2.8 Purchase content from third party producers for our website
3. Product Sales
3.1 Represents the company in relation with the advertising networks, negotiates CPM and CPC rates as well as special campain rates (competitions, special product placement, etc.)
3.2 Coordinates the affiliate programs and ensures support for the affiliates
4. General tasks
1. Coordinates the recruitment of new members in the product marketing team
2. Evaluates the job performance of team members alone or together with the Team Lead for the development team and determines the correct mesures to reward performance or punish the lack of
3. Performs other tasks in the competency area as required by the product development process
