RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
RESPONSIBLE TO: CRANE SUPERVISOR
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & GENERAL DUTIES:
1. Main responsibility is to carry out maintenance duties offshore as directed by the crane supervisor.
2. Responsible for effectively carrying out scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance of all offshore cranes/ lifting equipment with the objective of maintaining safe operations, compliance, maintaining integrity, reliability and reducing downtime and costs.
3. Prepare daily reports detailing the work carried out, preparation of spare parts lists, details of parts to be repaired and compilation of delivery notes.
4. In addition to crane maintenance duties, to operate overhead cranes under the direction of nominated platform personnel and in accordance with the authorized operators instructions manual and platform operating procedures, Company QA system, Standing Instructions No. One and other relevant documentation.
5. When working overhead cranes, carry out daily routine checks on the crane in accordance with the maintenance procedures and pre-start checklist.
6. Inspect the job site to ensure compliance with Safe Practices and Procedures. Maintain quality of safety in the crane group and participate in facility safety reviews.
7. Liaise on company/ personal matters with Sparrows Crane Supervisor.
8. It is the responsibility of the incumbent to fully familiarize himself with all Installation Safety and Emergency Procedures.
9. The incumbent is responsible for giving a detailed report of any crane incidents to the Sparrows Crane Supervisor.
10. It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with and follows the Sparrows Policy for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality and takes an active part in the compliance and improvement of the HSEQ Management System. The incumbent must report any accidents, incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems to the HSEQ Manager.
11. The employee has responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 to follow all Company procedures, guidelines, control measures and permit conditions and to know what to do in an emergency. The incumbent is also responsible for the health and safety of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises.
12. The incumbent must adopt a co-operative attitude towards being assigned alternative or additional duties to that which they are primarily employed which may include working additional hours (overtime).
