System Engineer for Multinational Company

The candidate should meet the following qualifications:

· Technical backgroud

· Familiarity with C++, Java

· Knowledge of scripting: Perl, Shell

· Creative and proficient problem solving and a keen interest in "looking under the hood" to resolve issues

· Familiarity/interest in Science Control Management Tools

· Familiarity/interest in Automated Building Tools (Make, Aut)

· Ability to work as a team member on projects

· Infrastructure support experience/familiarity with distributed UNIX and Windows environments


· It is essential to be analytical, self-motivated, well organized, detail-oriented, and provide good follow-up.

· Good communications skills (verbal and written) are essential.

Internal Software Support team is responsible for maintaining Development environment and developing and supporting development environment.
Development environment refers to internal or 3rd part tools used by developers from Product Center to develop the core product.
This position will contribute to a small and busy technical team in the following ways:
Configure and maintain multi-platform, distributed infrastructure and development environments
Configure/maintain/upgrade 3rd part software within core product
Support software development by assisting developers in using/troubleshoot the development tools (compilers, SCM tools, various utility scripts)
Provide technical help to Development team
Develop and maintain tools and utilities for automated development processes
Produce documentation for procedural and technical issues.
Provide technical information about supported configurations to Documentation/Technical Support teams.
