CANDIDATUL IDEAL:

- 3 – 5 years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree (Business with technology focus, Computer Science with business focus, Management Information Systems or similar combination of business and technological studies)
- Preferred MCSE, MCSA or some level for MSP certification
- Prior presales experience
- Minimum 2 years in customer facing
- Ability to manage complex sales and enablement efforts.
- Keen understanding of consultative solution selling skills.
- Knowledge of service industry, and a high medium-business acumen a must.
- Successful and proven performance in leveraged sales or business development.
- Teamwork and communication skills are critical.
- Technical knowledge of Microsoft’s products & channel model.
- Experience in selling to Business Decision Makers required


RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:

Microsoft SMB & Partner group have the joint responsibility to grow Microsoft Sales and Customer & Partner Experience in the Midmarket depth Customer space through an indirect sales model.
The Partner Technology Specialists (PTS) are part of the Solution Partner Team and focus on engaging with our partners on large and strategic Midmarket customer opportunities.
Microsoft’s Small and Mid-Market Solutions & Partners (SMS&P) group has an indirect sales model predicated on effective recruitment, development, management, and support of a highly productive partner channel. The Partner Technology Specialist (PTS) is a specialized role intended to both enable and support partner success in the technical pre-sales process.

The PTS is the primary role with a technical presale focus within SMS&P’s sales field. Additionally, the PTS is focused on Partner enablement.

PTS role responsibilities will include:
PARTNER TECHNICAL SALES CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT:
 Support the Partner Account Manager (PAM) in the business planning, partner portfolio development process, technical assessment, sales pipeline reviews, and others.
 Assess Microsoft Partner technical sales capacity by using a consistent process, applying an established set of criteria to provide a foundation for the Microsoft Partner’s development plan with precise metrics, and “gives and gets.”
 Present solutions and product technical knowledge at one-to-many events.

CO-SELLING WITH MICROSOFT PARTNERS:
 Engage with Microsoft Partners on well-qualified opportunities, through a defined cross-organizational sales engagement process orchestrated by the PAM.
 Coach Microsoft Partners on effective product demonstration techniques and tools, and demonstrate the products when necessary to instruct Microsoft Partners on effective demonstration techniques.
 Support Microsoft Partners in the competitive sales engagement process.
 Provide guidance on optimal technical solutions to both customers and partners.

PLAN AND RECRUIT
• Support the Partner Account Manager (PAM) in the business planning, partner portfolio development process, technical assessment, sales pipeline reviews. Primary planning with PAM will involve selecting specific Partners for enablement (Skills Builder) work.

ENABLE
• Assess partner technical sales capacity by using the Skills Builder process, and applying an established set of criteria to provide a foundation for the partner development plan with precise metrics, “gives and gets” (including co-selling support for two “First Win” deals .
• Present solutions and product technical knowledge at one-to-many events (breadth).

(CO) - SELL
• Engage with partners on well-qualified opportunities, through a defined, cross-organizational sales engagement process orchestrated by the PAM.
• Coach partners on effective product demonstration techniques and tools; complete product demonstrations as necessary to ensure partner’s understanding and self-sufficiency.
• Support partners in the competitive sales engagement process by promoting integration and utilization of the Telephone-based Pre-sales Technical Support (TPTS) service.
• Provide guidance on optimal technical solutions to both customers and partners.

READINESS AND DEVELOPMENT
• Utilize Roleguide and a Training and Readiness roadmap to develop your understanding of the PTS function, tasks and deliverables, and core competencies.
• On the job learning through preparation for demonstrations and co-sales calls.
• Create a formal development plan leveraging performance on an annual basis.
• Select and develop individual Competencies for improvement.
• Attend meetings, trainings (TechReady), airlifts, summits, conference calls and utilize resources to support your personal readiness plan
• Follow industry development and trends in your areas of expertise and become established as a thought leader among peers.

ADMINSTRATION
• Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) and partner relationship management (PRM) tools (PSM & Siebel).
