TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND IT SERVICES MANAGER

Essential Education, Knowledge and Experience:

a. Formal qualification, preferably IT related
b. Excellent overall technical knowledge, gained through hands-on experience in at least one IT field (e.g. networking, systems administration, data and voice communications)
c. Strong interest in, and awareness of, recent and emerging
technologies and their application to deliver business advantage
d. Experienced project manager, able to plan, co-ordinate activities and deliver complex solutions to tight deadlines
e. Budget setting and controlling expenditure
f. Preparing specifications, tendering, contracting and managing relations with external suppliers for supply, maintenance and support service contracts

Skills and capabilities

a. Team builder, able to manage, develop and motivate a team of technical staff
b. Able to build and maintain close working relationships with business leads and key users
c. Able to communicate and work effectively with both IT specialists and with colleagues having little or no IT knowledge, locally and internationally
d. Able to make considered but decisive choices even when under pressure
e. Possesses business acumen, able to quickly grasp and remain focused on business objectives when assessing options and determining the most appropriate, cost effective IT solutions
f. Able to build strong business cases to sell the right solutions to other decision makers
g. Experienced in developing user support services agreements and managing service delivery by internal support staff and external providers
h. Willing and able to take firm stand where necessary (e.g. ensuring adherence to IT standards, policies)
i. Very good verbal and written communication skills, including English

Reporting to the Group IT Director, the Technical Infrastructure and IT

Services Manager will be responsible for the provision of reliable and secure IT infrastructure, systems and support services to all business units within Medicover's international operations.

Upon joining this extremely successful, dynamic and rapidly growinginternational company, the successful candidate will quickly learn and understand Medicover's business goals and priorities, will assess existing IT infrastructure, resources and capabilities and ensure they are used to their maximum potential.

The postholder will also be responsible determining and ensuring adherence to IT policies and procedures and for technical and data communications strategy.

The postholder will need to be effective in selecting and building relationships with external suppliers, negotiating and managing contracts, continually monitoring service delivery and ensuring value for money.

Highly energetic, motivated and innovative, the successful candidate will have proven successful experience in a similar senior role, preferably within an organisation of comparable complexity, or be able to demonstrate that they are ready to take on such a role as the next stage in the development of their career. In either case, he/ she must be able to demonstrate.
