Mechanical Simulation Engineer for Engineering Center (Sibiu)

Physics/Mechanics Faculty graduate
Relevant working experience in a similar field of at least one yearKnowledge in FEA tools like: ABAQUS, ANSYS, COMSOL - mandatory
Advanced English language skills (mandatory)
Good knowledge of physics, material strength and fluid flow, thermal phenomena (convection, conduction, radiation)
Experience in simulation tools (e.g., Matlab/Simulink), simulation guidelines
Ability to cooperate and to work in teams

The international automotive supplier Continental AG, Hanover, placed at the end of 2003 a further production site into operation in Romania. The new location in Sibiu was meant to produce and develop electronic components for the automotive industry. The location consists in a production facility (Plant) and a research & development center (Engineering Center).

The main focus of Engineering Center is to develop and test electronic control units for Automotive Industries like: ABS, ESP, Engine Control units, Airbag systems, Dumping Control Units, Transmission Systems etc. The competences within Engineering Center are: embedded software, PC software, electronics, mechanics and hydraulics.

As a Mechanical Simulation Engineer for the Engineering Center your responsibilities will be to:

Develop component and system simulation models
FEA analysis and revise
Deal with issues in mechanics, physics and electromagnetism Improve and check the models in close collaboration with design and test departments
