CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
PROFILE:
•Marketing background, preferably with an established FMCG chain or a traditional food retail chain
•Full working knowledge of government legislation pertaining to the retailing industries
•Self starter, highly motivated, willing to work long and sometimes unusual hours
•Good interpersonal & negotiation skills
•Good delegation and time management skills
•Good team building and motivational skills
•Strong desire to learn all aspects of retailing
•Better than average performance in past positions as indicated by performance reviews or reference checks
•A “marketer mentality” approach to the business and a willingness to try new concepts
•Marketing degree would be a distinct advantage
•Confident presenter
•Holder of a full and preferably clean driving license

RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
MISSION: Provide the best consumer marketing offer for the retail stations. Maximise the sales and gross profit at store level. Leverage the buying power of the network to the benefit of both station and company. To market the business in a professional way
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Produce an annual marketing plan to include individual category strategies.
•Assist in the development of policies, procedures and mission.
•Communicate guidelines to subordinates for their area of responsibility.
•Take appropriate action to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
•Ensure development of subordinates.
•Oversee the activities of subordinates and assist as necessary.
•Provide timely feedback on performance to all subordinates.
•Provide dynamic on going local and national marketing initiatives.
•Ensure all supplier negotiations and rebates fall within company guidelines.
•Ensure planograms, price books, signage and action planners are up to date.
•Provide regular store marketing road shows.
•Analysis of category management information.
•Develop and oversee store design & image
•Timely production of management information.
•Commission regular market research.
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
•Shop merchandise targets
•Gross profit margins
•Feed back from Operations team
•Strength of buying deals in comparison to other supermarket and petrol station operators
•Performance of promotional activity
