Job Title: FPSO Instrumention Engineer
SITUATION IN ORGANISATION
Position reports to: LEAD ICSS & INSTRUMENTATION EQUIPMENT ENGINEER

JOB DIMENSIONS
Within the framework of the Topsides Development, the Instrumentatist Engineer is responsible for the engineering monitoring of the design, the installation and the operation of equipment, packaged or not. He shall ensure the compliance of engineering to the discipline requirements. TOTAL general specifications or particular specifications or procedures, and trade rules always with the aims to reduce costs at maximum without impacting the overal FPSO Safety and required level of quality.
ACTIVITIES
• Review Contractor Instrumentation Work programme.
• Verify the engineering documents submitted by FPSO Basic Engineering Contractor for comments and ensure compliance to all technical requirement (see above).
• Follow up FPSO Instrumentation Database (INTOOLS)
• Answer to questions and queries, with the aim to give answers reducing investments at maximum without impacting the level of quality.
• Rule on exemption or modification requests.
• Participate to or organise any technical or co-ordination meeting necessary to fulfil his job responsability.
• Participate to internal weekly technical meetings.
• Communicate with FPSO Contractor’s team for solving daily problems.
• Report engineering progress regularly to LEAD ICSS & INSTRUMENTATION EQUIPMENT ENGINEER, highlighting critical problems, drifts and dysfunction.
• Control that Contractor resources and organisation are adequate (and competent) for acheiving the discipline engineering works.
• Participe to technical evaluation, clarification meeting and recommandation for Instrumentation equipments.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONNEMENT
Located in EPSCC contractor offices during detail engineering.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Experienced in same kind of job and to be aware about Company specifications.
Skill in Field specific instrument (Fire and Gas detectors, Control and safety valves, flow calculations, Metering System….) for both detailed design and installation (Marshalling cabinets, Electrical Power Supply, Gas Instrument…)
Skill in Instrumentation Database management (Software and procedures)
