RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
Provides direct and indirect supervision to subordinate team leaders and professional employees;
Establishes three to five year plans/objectives, and developing policies for the function/unit.
Develops or assists in the development of department budgets and goals. Reviews employees’ performance and recommends employee compensation;
He is responsible for understanding the customer’s technical roadmap and identifying and managing all new customer-specific process development projects.
Provides engineering expertise for all technical issues related to the customer’s product(s) from product conception to product obsolescence. Participates in conceptual development including board partitioning, feasibility study and trade-off negotiation.
Evaluates potential manufacturing impact (assembly, test and system) for each design concept.
Evaluates suppliers' capability and capacity.
Participates in contract negotiation.
Examines the suppliers' quote including NRE, tooling, lead time and volume prices.
Establishes and communicates the manufacturing requirements including packaging, labeling, documentation, test and quality standards. Manages and supports prototype builds. Provides all deliverables and plans all unique materials to support the builds.
Generates instructions and exceptions for each prototype build.
He is responsible for the successful introduction of all new products and ongoing manufacturing support;
Technical co-ordination of quotations for all new products;
Responsible for the Test Maintenance Department ensuring maximization of equipment up-time, including planned preventative maintenance programmes.
