Site Manager in Industrial Construction Field

For one of our clients, a multinational company offering project management services in construction field, we are looking for a Site Manager motivated to take part in their new project near Bucharest.

ROLE

The Site Manager is in charge of the building contract and must be aware and in control of all aspects of site operations, including the planning of site progress. He has responsibility for both the profitability of operations and compliance with the agreed construction and cost plans.

REQUIRED

University degree in Construction Engineering (Industrial or Civil Engineer );
At least 6 years of working experience with a building company or general contractor in civil/construction site management;
Good overall knowledge of the MS Office programs (Word, Excel);
Ability to work in stressful situations and to comply with deadlines;
Good spoken and written knowledge of the English language.

Assisting the Project Manager in managing the planning and supervision of site activities;
Meeting regularly with the project team to discuss deliverables and expectations;
Leading regular site meetings with professionals, including quantity surveyors, building services engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and the client who has commissioned the building;
Maintaining strict quality control procedures by regular testing of materials, visual inspections of work, and frequent tours of the site;
Conducting regular site safety checks;
Ensuring the project runs to schedule and to budget, and finding solutions to problems that may cause delays (e.g. late arrival of materials);
Elaborating reports on the status of works.
