CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
For one of our clients, an European front runner in the energy sector we are looking for an Junior Portfolio Manager. Our client is a pioneer in energy trading and portfolio management in Europe and currently they are investing in young European professionals, like you.
Master degree in finance, economics or engineering; Additional qualifications in business or risk management will be valued. Affinity for Controlling and Accounting is a plus;
Deep interest in evolutions in the market, stock exchange etc. and want to develop a broad instead of specialist knowledge on the market: you are willing to study if necessary;
Strong analytical and quantitative skills (good with numbers)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Fluency in English.

RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
Analyze and understand the European asset portfolio, in all its complexity in physical and financial commodity risks, foreign exchange risks, weather risks, plant risks etc.
Structure the portfolio into a comprehensive and logic book/risk structure and take responsibility for updating and maintaining the book structure manual.
Design of a hedging strategy in line with the company’s hedge policy, performing a detailed market and portfolio analysis in close collaboration with Trading and the Structuring desk.
Execute the hedging strategy through the sales and trading channels, translating the asset hedging strategy in the communication towards the local portfolio management (LPM) departments, the Sales departments and Trading.
Management reporting on the hedge strategies and their status of execution.
On a monthly basis, support the controlling department in explaining the deviations in future portfolio value, and the deviations between realized results and budgeted results.
The Portfolio Manager reports to the Head of Portfolio Management.
