IBM Mainframe Migration Engineer

For one of our clients, a multinational company, global leader in technology and services, one of the world's leading technology companies with 140.000 employees serving more than one billion customers in more than 178 countries on six continents, we are looking for an IBM Mainframe Migration Engineer.

Requirements:

University or equivalent degree, in IT or relevant business area;
Operating Systems : OS390 / CICS, HP-UX, Linux;
Database Systems: DB2, Oracle;
3 years of relevant professional IT background;
IBM Mainframe environment experience;
Strong interest in working in Mainframe migration projects;
Fluent in conversational, written and technical English;
Excellent communication skills in writing, presenting and listening;
Strong analytical skills working in a highly complex IT environment;
Ability to assimilate information and build new expertise quickly;
Strong interpersonal skills: able to collaborate and work in a virtual team, good initiative and follow-up;
Flexibility to travel;
Have knowledge of another language is a plus (German, Spanish, French, Italian).

Working in Mainframe application re-hosting and Mainframe database migration;
Participating in all stages of the Mainframe environment migration, from customer requirements analysis and environment assessment up to targeted system configuration, application re-hosting, database migration, solution testing and customer support;
Working in an international and virtual team together with other Mainframe project team members as well as with global and local business contacts from the customer;
Ongoing support of the re-hosted application will be handed over to a separate organization and is not part of this role;
Frequent business travel within the EMEA region is necessary;
Ensuring customer satisfaction all along the project life cycle.
