Group Legal Manager

For one of our clients, a multinational company active in the insurance field, we are looking for a Group Legal Manager.

Required
University degree;
Fluent in English;
Minimum 7 years experience in legal area;
Knowledge of the Romanian legal system and also the international legal rules and regulations;
Strong expertise in corporate compliance is mandatory.
Proven leadership skills;
Hard worker and goal oriented person;
Practical, problem solver type;

Responsibilities

Defining Legal strategy, policy and procedures;
Advisory function to the management on all legal and compliance related matters;
Responsibility to ensure that relevant business areas conduct their business in compliance with all applicable internal policies and procedures, laws, rules, regulations and codes of practice;
Represent the company in the relation with third parties – auditors, external counsels and firms, regulatory bodies, state authorities;
Manage the departmental activities in compliance with Romanian legal framework and internal policies and procedures;
Responsible to set up and priorities the team objectives and offer consistent support for their achievement;
Responsible for developing, motivating and retaining high calibre team to achieve business goals.
