Logistics Manager

University Degree (specific logistics/transportation training would be a plus);
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position within a mature middle or large size company, with proven results in developing and implementing high-standard logistics process management;
Thorough knowledge of principles and procedures for warehousing, stock control and delivering large and diversified amounts of merchandise;
Strong planning, organization and monitoring skills, decision taking skills and analytical thinking;
Positive, result oriented and hands-on attitude, with excellent leadership ability, in order to provide on-the-job training, to communicate realistic objectives, to assign clear responsibilities and to be a mobilizing model for the team;
Very good computer skills, familiarity with ERP or software systems for stock management;
Good command of English;
Driving license – B category;
Available to travel occasionally for business purposes.

For our client, one of the most important distributors of IT and electronics products, we are looking for a Logistics Manager.

Responsibilities:

Develop the general operations policies and is responsible for designing and implementing clear specific procedures and methods in concert with general strategy;
Supervise the warehousing operations (over 10.000 mp) - reception, stock administration, inventories - to ensure an optimum stock management and control;
Coordinate the delivery process, monitoring the standards and procedures for invoicing, pick-and-pack-ing and delivering merchandise to the beneficiaries;
Manage the car fleet (over 40 delivery vans and trucks);
Identify and conducts negotiations with logistics and insurance companies;
Establish close working relationships with other divisions and departments to ensure that all established goals are achieved;
Provide direct supervision to Warehousing Manager, Car Fleet Manager and Delivery Manager to manage Division's team;
Implement and controls the execution of Division budget, allocating the necessary resources in a flexible manner to key operations functions as needed;
Develop and implements cost savings measures associated with logistics operations.
