Level 3 Support Java Engineer

• Understanding and experience with Java (e.g. coding, garbage collection tuning, heap dump and thread dump analysis) XML, Webservices and Enterprise Applications Architecture
• Understanding and experience with RDBMS
• Debugging and appropriate debugging tools usage skills in general
• TCP/IP networking, UNIX and/or Solaris Operating system, HTTP protocol and request processing, SMTP, etc.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; i.e. the ability to articulate technical solutions and how they can solve customer business problems to all audiences, including non-technical
• Ability to present findings using various mediums (presentations, conference calls over the phone)
• Disponibility for working acording to a rotating schedule

The project involves maintaining a global solution of sync for a variety of services on different platforms for the largest U.S. telecommunication carrier.
This is a fulfilling position that combines the attributes of a Java Developer and a SysAdmin with the challenge of the support activity. As a Tier 3 support engineer, you will be involved in an extended diversity of both technical and process based challenges with an opportunity for significant learning and building up wide skill set.
