Electrical Engineer - Over Head Transmission Lines

Educational qualification

Diploma of Engineer (Equivalent to B.E.) in Electrical Engineering
Experience on Over Head Transmission Lines – height voltage – minimum 3 years

 Responsible for overall Supervision of Foundations, Towers Erection, Stringing (double bundle), OPGW Stringing for above line including preparation of construction schedule, review of design and material specification, interaction with Client / Consultant on all technical matters, preparation of quality assurance and quality control program.
 Supervising the teams and ensuring the output with quality confirming to ISO requirements and instrumental in keeping the high quality and safety awareness among the construction team.
 Ensure that the progress on site is as per Company Requirement.
 Forward daily report/weekly report to Office/ Client / Consulting Company;
 Check that all relevant check and quality control forms are completed by the sub-contractor and file for reference purposes;
 Identify means to improve all HSE requirements, on site and in the camp.
 Ensure that the requirements of the EMP are adhered to at all times;
 Check all materials supplied to site and ensure that the materials are same as approved by Client / Consulting Company (drawings, quality, dimension)

Our guyed tower designs can significantly reduce the cost of your transmission line, when compared to traditional lattice towers. We also give expert consulting services on system voltages and line ratings and development of line diagrams and site layouts, with provision for future upgrading with minimal disruption to operations

Our engineering team also designs and project-manages the installation of high voltage underground cables and optical fibre ground wire networks. Engineering Consulting
Jyoti Structures also provides engineering consulting services to various clients across the globe.
Our engineering consulting services include the following:

§ Ability to give total transmission system design for turnkey solutions - from concept to commissioning for both transmission lines and substations including cost estimations for green-field and extension jobs, all under one roof.
§ Computer aided 3D Analysis, detailed drawing generation, sag calculations and foundation drawing generation.
§ 3D output of shop drawings for fabrication and code generation that can interface with CNC machines for manufacturing.
§ Earth grid design, including evaluation of soil resistivity tests etc.

Tower Testing
JSL engineers offer a comprehensive suite of services for high voltage transmission system engineering like the following:

§ State-of-the art Tower Testing Station is one of the best in the world with microprocessor-based system for simultaneous application of load through multi-speed motors.
§ Tower testing of structures up to 1000kv with maximum base dimensions of 26 X 26 meters and of height up to 85 meters (Auxiliary Test Bed – up to 220 KV , 14m base). Till date we have tested more than 1000 types of transmission line towers for various clients worldwide. One of the very few testing stations having the ability to test rectangular towers.
