Junior Purchaser

The company is looking for a Junior Purchaser who will be reporting to the Senior Buyer which is holding also the position of Deputy Purchase Manager. The Junior Purchaser is expected to have a minimum experience in working with marketers and product developers. This position is a cross-functional position requiring a good and close collaboration with sales logistics and accounting area. The Purchaser should:
-have very good analytical skills, being able to analyse statistics and trends
-a high degree of commercial awareness
-having good communication skills (verbal and written)
-have good negotiating skills
-have a high degree of initiative with a strong desire to improve skills and drive change
-ability to work independently as well as part of a team
-good decision-making skills
-ability to work to tight deadlines
The candidate should have also:
-excellent communication skills in English (also German will be for advantage)
-University degree
-min. of 2 years experience in purchasing

-negotiate contracts with suppliers
-work with suppliers to develop new products, and re-launch existing lines
-monitor market changes, competitor prices and products, and past sales patterns to forecast future demand
-work in cooperation with the Senior Buyer for sourcing new products and alternative suppliers
-help control stock levels by varying delivery schedules or recommending clearance sales
-monitor the performance of product lines and suppliers and take necessary decisions
