Job Requirements:
- Must be a licensed attorney (Bar membership required)
- Minimum two years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
- Experience with commercial law and representing the client in Court
- Strong computer skills with high proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Must be extremely detail-oriented, efficient and possess superior written and verbal communication
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to establish positive relationships at all levels
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize numerous work assignments in a demanding atmosphere
- Attention to detail and accuracy, timeliness and ability to work independently and part of a team, dedicated team player
- Ability to manage projects, following through on assignments and managing deadlines
- Must be proactive and have entrepreneurial spirit, client oriented, with sound business development abilities
- Quality driven, able to deliver in challenging situations
- Fluent in English
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drafting, revising and negotiating a wide variety of complex commercial contracts including, but not limited to, vendor contracts, business separation agreements and professional services agreements
- Drafting and maintenance of corporate governance documents for various corporate entities
- Assist in the management of commercial litigation and other cases and liaise with outside counsel in-house counsel with representing the company in matters of discovery, alternative dispute resolution and hearings in courts and administrative agencies
- Advise and coordinate discovery issues
- Assist in tracking legal costs and expenses
- Assist in day to day resolution from queries from the field.
- Prepare reports and summaries regarding on-going legal matters
- Coordinate and communicate with outside counsel and company personnel on legal matters with oversight
- Perform legal research as needed
- Communication and project support as needed by the client
