Financial Analyst

Our client, a major media leader who operates a number of Internet properties, is looking for a Financial Analyst to supplement a growing presence in Europe. This individual will be responsible for reporting, analyzing, and controlling revenue. Additional the Financial Analyst assists the Revenue Manager with internal controls procedures and performs ad-hoc projects as necessary. This person needs to be able to organize extracted data into meaningful information through the use of computer-based tools and to prepare management reports. Responsibilities include:

• Analyze revenue booked at month-end close (variance analysis)
• Learn and understand different processes and how to translate needs into meaningful process improvements
• Address revenue recognition issues and recommend system enhancements
• Implement new and monitor existing revenue controls
• Ensure reporting consistency

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university – Finance, Accounting, Statistics or related field of study
• Demonstrated experience managing large amounts of financial data
• Proven experience in statistical analysis, report design, and presentation
• At least 1-3 years of related work experience
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access
