Business Intelligence Developer (DIVA) - location ABU DHABI United Arab Emirates
The person will be responsible for analysing reports, dashboards, and occasionnally multi-dimensionnal (OLAP) users requirements, developing, maintaining and supporting numerous BI solutions.
A minimum of 2 year experience developing and supporting Cognos Business Intelligence tools, Cognos Impromptu Web Reports, ReportNet and Powerplay, hosted on both MS windows 2003 servers and AIX 5.2.
Contributes to the completion of specific reports and projects. Designs, codes, compiles, and tests programs of a moderately complex nature. Prepares program specifications for assigned programming tasks. Conducts design review. Prepares program documentation in compliance with established departmental standards. Investigate, analyzes, and resolves application problems. Applies software engineering standards, processes, and techniques in assigned tasks.
Develop reports, have hands-on exposure to Business Intelligence solutions development, respond quickly and efficiently to high-level customer/user requirements, and have a strong commitment to customer support.
Experience with Oracle 9i, PL-SQL Development.
DBA Architect (Oracle)
The person will be responsible on database development and optimization aspects of the LARA application.
5 years of DBA experience of which minimum 2 year exp. as DBA Architect in Oracle 8/9i (including 9iAS)
Very good PL/SQL programming and data modeling skills
In-depth knowledge of UNIX AIX and Oracle Certification (DBA track/ Oracle Forms & PL/SQL)
Extensive experience in SDLC, database-modelling and architecture
Application of DB design and SQL syntax best practice
Mentor and guide Team Leads and developers to ensure best practice in database design
Review technical specifications to ensure proper DB design and optimized SQL syntax
Ensure proper technical product documentation of the database structure
Facilitate impact analysis studies for effective deliveries and accurate development estimates
Application Developer (LARA)
Very good forms, report and PL/SQL development skills are required.
3 - 6 years experience of application development using Oracle technologies
Oracle Certification (developer track) would be preferred.
The Application Developer will be responsible to design, develop, maintain, test and implement software applications. He is to ensure the highest level of these activities performance on the following key criteria:
products and services in accordance with user’s requirements and processes
products quality (maintainability, flexibility, ease of use and learn, reliability)
services quality (communication, usage of methodology all along the product life cycle, documentation, products delivery in accordance with estimated costs and delivery time)
Specify, design, develop, test, maintain and troubleshoot business applications.
Write technical specifications on request and under the supervision of the Application Development Leader he/she reports to
General Requirements
Strong technical and analytic skills are required in addition to demonstrated proficiency programming in a fast-paced environment.
B.Sc. or B. Eng in Computer Science (Master preferred)
Oracle Certified Professional is prefered
Performance skills: Fast learner, motivation to learn both the software and the business processes, analytical skills, commitment to task, communication/relational, listening and understanding, result and customer service oriented
Fluent English required (oral and written)
Exposure to the shipping or transport industry would be a plus.
