Java Software Developer

Requirements:

o 3-5 years of experience in web software development
o Strong knowledge of at least one of the following databases: Oracle, SQL Server
o Extensive background in Java development
o Strong knowledge of web application development tools, technologies, languages (JSP, XML, etc)
o Extensive background in applying object oriented software development methodologies
o English – fluently
o MS Project, Office, Visio abilities

Role:

To sustain the IT strategy, goals/needs of the business by designing and developing new functionalities for Java -based web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in evaluation and implementation of IT projects by providing the technical solution for systems in his/her responsibility based on business requirements.
• Develop technical specifications for systems in his/her responsibility
• Analyze existing code (static, dynamic / runtime)
• Use software configuration management tools
• Develop new features for systems in his/her responsibility according with business requirements and technical specifications in agreed timelines.
• Create/update documentation of code, algorithms, interfaces, and APIs modified or new created by new realease of software.
• Perform unit tests, system tests for modules/ systems developed and generates the documents for these tests
• Create/update user manual for the each new releases of software developed.
• Fix the bugs from for systems in his/her responsibility according with agreed timelines. Document these changes.
• Ensure knowledge transfer and support during acceptance phase by investigation and solving of technical issues.
• Ensure appropriate knowledge transfer to operation team during soak period, after production launch.
• Participate in operational support activities for systems in his/her responsibility.
• Expand his/her knowledge regarding specific application (s) and company business policies and procedures.
