Product Installer Engineer

Product Installer Design and Implementation
- Experience in a controlled software development lifecycle
- Scripting: Perl, Python, VBScript
- Languages: C/C++, Java
- Windows Installer Service (MSI)
- Installer Development Frameworks: Wise, InstallShield Developer
- OS Package Management preffered (RPM, Solaris pkginfo, HP SD, AIX installp)
- Experience cross-platform development environments. Including Windows, Linux, Solaris, HP_UX and AIX.
- Software Configuration Management knowledge
- B.S. Degree in Computer Science

The Product Installer Engineer is responsible for the functional specification, design, implementation, testing and support of installation programs for a broad range of Ixia products. Functional requirements are established by a cross-functional product team. The candidate must be able to gather requirements, assemble prototypes, provide reliable effort estimates, identify and take ownership of the resolution of design issues
