| CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
1. Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned at the required level;
2. A university degree in computer science, management information systems or equivalent, preferably at post-graduate level;
3. At least five years of senior level experience in support of 24 by 7 operational environment with multiple databases and operating systems;
4. Hands-on experience optimizing and troubleshooting database performance in an Oracle 8i and 9i environment, preferably for Oracle Applications 10i and 11i Financial and Human Resources/Benefits modules;
5. Demonstrable skills with data modeling, design and development of complex queries, optimizing SQL and PL/SQL code, and advanced queues and triggers;
6. Broad experience providing third-level support during application and infrastructure outage to determine the cause of failures and restore systems;
7. Experience interacting with application developers to support testing and development and to perform upgrades to production environments;
8. Understanding of Java web applications, J2EE, JDBC, Oracle object types, Oracle 9i LDAP, and source control development tools; and
9. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
1. Managing a team providing architecture and administration support for SQL and other database environments;
2. Maintaining database and system performance of applications running under AIX, Solaris, Linux, Netware, Windows, and OS/390;
3. Supporting database aspects of requirements gathering, design, documentation and development of complex Java web application solutions;
4. Providing advice on matters relating to database administration;
5. Undertaking research to obtain information on the latest trends in database technologies and recommending enhancements to operating environments; and
6. Managing vendors, contractors, and consultants involved in relevant IT projects or IT support in ADB.
