Technical Program Manager (Iasi) S/ware + h/ware exp + ASIC exp.

Applicants for this post MUST have between 5-8 years experience in the IT engineering field with at least 2 of those years in an active management position. You MUST have experience in Hardware & Software. Direct experience with Integrated Circuit Development and/or working as a Program Manager of an Engineering Development Project would be an advantage. Technical disciplines include ASIC customer application support, ASIC software tool development, IC Circuit design and IC test and product engineering. You need therefore to have experience of these issues. You MUST possess a minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Computer Science. A Post-Graduate Technical Degree is preferred. Reporting to the Staff Program Management at the company headquarters in America, your job will be to provide local technical program management in the company's major base in Iasi. You will be providing technical leadership and direction to the engineering group which currently has 70 people. You will be the driving force behind the creation and maintenance of coordinated project plans. You will be the local decision maker representing the US headquarters on issues including priority, resources and technical tradeoffs. You will coordinate closely with The Staff Program Manager on priorities and resource conflicts in order to provide local direction on these issues. You will provide regular status reports to the USA Management. You will call and lead meetings to review schedules, assist in the identification and resolving of issues to meet program deadlines and milestones. You will assist in compiling new project plans for review and adoption. You will monitor progress and work closely with the local teams. You will hold regular program status review meetings, assign people to act on action items and follow up on those assignments
