What is Aupair?
"Aupair" is French for "on par," reminding host families that, although an employee, their international visitor is to be treated as a member of the family. An aupair is a young person who spends time abroad in order to learn a foreign language and a foreign culture whilst living as part of a family in a foreign country. In return for full board, lodging and pocket money, aupairs agree to help with the children and perform light household duties.
They are well educated, usually to university degree levels or attending a university. Aupairs become full-fledged family members, sharing a cultural exchange experience which often leads to a lasting relationship with the host family.
What Aupairs Do...
The aupair's childcare responsibilities may include:

- Awakening the children, dressing, bathing and feeding them
- Playing with children and helping them with their homework
- Preparing light meals or helping to prepare meals, making children's beds, doing their laundry, ironing their clothes
- Taking/collecting children to and from school, appointments or outings requested by the host family
- Shopping, vacuuming, dusting and some other light housework
- Staying home if necessary while children are absent from school due to illness or holidays
- Baby-sitting - up to two evenings per week.

The au pair is not a cleaner or a housemaid. Their responsibilities do not include heavy housework unrelated to the children such as cleaning the windows, cleaning the home or polishing.
It cannot be too strongly stressed though, that au pairs are not qualified nannies or domestic servants, they should not be expected to take sole responsibility for the children or household duties.

INSURANCE:

Every applicant is obligated to arrange his/her own travel insurance.
The employers will be obligated to pay for the health insurance in case if any accident happens on the working place only.

VISAS AND WORKING LICENSE:

The EU clients do not require any visas to work in Greece. All other applicants from Non EU countries will need to obtain a Working visa or Internship visa. Our agency supplies you with every information and assistance for getting your Working/Internship visa the easiest way possible.

STUDENT TRAINING PROGRAMS & INTERNSHIPS

In cooperation with Colleges, Universities and Private educational institutions, IN GLOBE organises traineeships for studends in the areas of Tourism & Hospitality, Sports & Recreation, Foreign Languages , Arts & Crafts, Administration etc.





CONDITIONS:

-18-27 years old
-good knowledge of English or German language
-other languages like Scandinavian languages, French, Italian or Russian is an advantage.
- basic experience in the education area positions

LOCATION OF THE POSITIONS:

This season we have signed contracts with several 4 and 5 Stars hotels and Water Parks in the islands of CRETE, KOS, CORFU, ZAKYNTHOS, NAXOS, CRETE, as well as Chalkidiki and Peloponnesus.
We also have placements in smaller hotels at ALL the Greek islands and CYPRUS this year.

LENGTH OF THE PROGRAM :

Usually the Placement companies are making the Training Contracts from minimum 3 months to maximum 9 months time for hotel industry positions and 1 to 2 years time for the other areas.

REMUNERATION:

The guarantied minimum is:

350-400 EURO per month pocket money
Accommodation free ( usually shared 2-4 people in one apartment )
Free Meals ( usually 2-3 meals per day )
Health insurance provided
Transport expenses ( one or two way ticket from Home country to Greece, depend on agreement between IN GLOBE and the Company managers )


WORKING HOURS AND DAYS OFF:

The average working hours per day are 8 h, 6 working days and one day off per week.
If the students work longer hours then previously agreed, they will get paid for every extra hour.



LANGUAGE COURSES

In Globe is organizing Language courses for students of different age groups in UK, France, Greece and Italy.
Our Agency is an exclusive representative for Porta D'Oriente-Italian Language school from Otronto, Italy.
We also organize different Summer Language classes for High School students in schools all over UK, France, Greece and Italy.


CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAMS

In cooperation with non-profit organizations from USA and UK, our agency represents the following programs:

-Academic Year programs for High School students in USA and UK
-Work & Travel programs for students in USA (in partnership with Alliances Abroad )
-Internships USA
