Chief accountant

• 3 - 5 years experience in the accountancy field in similar positions
• Economic university degree
• Accounting expert - CECCAR
• MS Office (Excel, Word)
• ERP Systems knowledge is an advantage.
• English language, at least average level

• Supervises, coordinates and advises the accounting team, in order to ensure accurate and complete financial and accounting records
• Review with Financial responsable the statutory accounting policies for adequacy as per OMF 1752 /2005
• Prepare for, assist and give the necessary support to external and internal audits
• Prepare and assure statutory Financial statements review and timely submission to authorities
• Ensure that tax returns are prepared, reviewed and submitted to authorities on time
• Ensure timely month end reconciliation and sign-off in place to provide strong control & audit trail;
• Ensure segregation of duties for accounting team (tasks allocation, systems access rights)
• Close collaboration with reporting team, corroboration of month-end activities
• Participate in the reconciliation process between statutory and corporate accounts addressing reporting requirements
• Ensure clear job description and task allocation for all direct reports
• Train and coach accountants for performing their tasks. This also includes induction for joiners
• Review direct reports performance on a regular basis; provide feedback on regular basis for emphasise clear expectation on performance
• Ensure backup in place for all accounting team members & detail process documentation is in place for key processes
• Cross functional teamwork: Finance, IT, Business Units, Commercial
