RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
OMC Administration Field Engineer
The OMC Administration Field Engineer has an overall understanding of the entire OMC system and how it is connected to the network. He/She can perform routine system administration tasks, understands the basic operating system(s) and can do basic OMC troubleshooting. The engineer is also able to perform point release software upgrades with some supervision and solve peripheral problems.
He/She is very aware of the other network elements that the OMC can control and affect and how they are interconnected together to form the network. The engineer is very familiar with all related OMC documentation, has very good communication skills Ann knows and has used the proper procedures for handling and escalating problems.
Senior OMC Administration Field Engineer
A Senior OMC Administration Field Engineer has the competencies of the OMC Administration Field Engineer and is capable of installing and commissioning a new OMC. The engineer is capable of correctly installing and configuring the OMC operating software and configuring it to the customer’s and network’s specifications.
He/She can install any needed software tools and can provide troubleshooting support for most OMC problems. He/She can provide supervision to the OMC Administration Engineer for routine OMC procedures.
