Project Manager

Our client, an important international player in industrial and medical gases field and related services will design, install and operate an air separation unit in Romania. On behalf of our client we are now looking for a Romanian highly qualified professional to fulfill the above position.

• Responsible for overall project execution (time schedule and budget)
• Ensure engineering coordination of different components delivered by Engineering Centers of the Company.
• Initiate and coordinate the pre-construction studies (presentations, supplier selection, invitations to tender)
• Responsible for logistical planning, procurement and management of suppliers
• Participate in the development and implementation of construction execution plans and procedures
• Responsible for cost estimation and budget control
• Ensure that all required permits and certificates are in place for the installation and commissioning activity, and maintain relations with the necessary authorities
• Responsible for health and safety coordination, quality control and environmental management
• Represent the company and maintain contacts with clients, suppliers, government authorities and other institutions
• Supervise contractors to avoid construction delays and develop solutions to issues as they arise
• Prepare progress reports, verify subcontractors’ payment applications, and provide information on construction costs for monthly budget reviews

Qualifications

• Technical university degree
• Previous experience in a similar position; industrial experience with large Industrial Investment Projects, with long implementation duration is recommended
• Excellent English knowledge (French would be an advantage)
• Excellent managerial skills, practical and able to motivate
• Highly creative and communicative team player
• Analytical and able to synthesize
• Well organized, stress resistant, hard working and results oriented
• Imaginative and creative, conceptual ability to effectively develop new ideas
