Finance Director

Relevant high education (economics, finance, accounting)
Experience in financial modeling, preparation of information memoranda for potential lenders, and negotiation of loan documents
Good knowledge of the Moldavian tax legislation and tax accounting, and of local and international accounting standards
Good communication and presentation skills
Ability to work with tight deadlines
Refined leadership skills – able to get others to follow your lead and the example you make
Good knowledge of PC and relevant accounting software
Fluent in Russian, Moldavian, and English

Job Title: Finance Director
Reports to: General Manager of portfolio company and HQ
Location: Moldova, Chisinau

Purpose of the Role: The Client Company needs a professional Finance Director, who will represent the interests of the company, and secures transparency and corporate governance; improve the current accounting and reporting functions, the forecasting and budgeting, and who will take an active role in securing future debt financing.

Job Description:
1. Develop the current accounting, reporting, and budgeting function of the Company. Lead financial and tax planning
2. Lead the accounting and finance personnel, and built a professional and efficient team
3. Manage, direct, control and develop all related accounting, finance activities of the company, to ensure that all finance objectives, business goals, policies and procedures are met accordingly to the corporate standards of the shareholder company and Moldavian legislation
4. Plan funding needs, develop an optimal capital structure, and take an active role, together with the shareholders in securing attractive debt funding from international banks
5. Secure transparency and corporate governance as a representative of the Company in the management team
6. Recommend business actions to be taken that will result in adherence to budget and strategy
7. Increase the value of the investment to the shareholder company by analysing the business, and proposing measures to improve the profitability
8. To manage an external financing in close collaboration with the shareholders
9. Increase the assets of the Company and maximize the investment returns

Our Client is a leading international investment firm operating on the market of Moldova for over 10 years. Our Client is seeking a professional Finance Director for one of its portfolio companies in Kishinyev.
This Company has started to operate in the Moldavian financial services market approximately one year ago. It has proven its business model, but now needs to grow in order to secure market share and scope. Due to the expanding activities and fast growing operations of the company all over Moldova our Client needs a strong Finance Director role to lead the Company in Moldova through its present transition period towards maturity and further growth.
