Software Engineer – Low Speed Balancing

Experience/Education Required/Sought:
• Engineering degree (mechanical, electrical, or IT).
• Minimum 2 years of working with .net platform.
• Minimum 1 year of working with SQL databases.
• Has supervised a minimum of 2 persons.
• Has worked in a complex project, involving acquisition techniques, processing data, storing data, returning commands to external peripherals.
Attributes/Skills Required/Sought:
• Very good knowledge in .net programming.
• Good knowledge of Delphi. Good knowledge of Paradox db. Good knowledge of MSDE/SQL.
• Knowledge of Matlab; knowledge of LAbView.
• Good knowledge of working with data acquisition.
• Has worked with project management technology like: CMMI, Prince2 etc. (any of them).
• Understand mechanical or electronic technology.
• Has coded and documented an algorithm to describe complex phenomena or control a complex system.
• Understand easily the design behind existing code and is able to write specifications for new features and implement them
• Ability to develop an effective project plan and control strategy for his own work.
• Hands-on; enjoys operating the equipment to test his software
• Excellent communications within team, and to his/her superiors
• Performs well within a team environment
• Understands math (e.g. matrix algebra) sufficiently to understand what he is coding.
• Good level of spoken and written English, with fluency in another European language (French, Italian, Romanian) a distinct advantage
• Works with a sense of urgency
• Ability to work in a matrix environment with both a program manager, a team, and a functional boss.

Position Scope:
• Development of industrial software.
• Coding and maintaining software versions/upgrades.
• Documentation of the coding (flowcharts and text) is required.
• Control the activities of the co (out) sourcing teams. Write technical specifications based on business requirements and supervise the implementation.
• The position requires close liaison with the algorithm leader to understand the software requirements and flow diagram.

Responsibilities of Position:
1. Develop new software based on requirements.
2. Supervise the outsourcing activities for one of the Honeywell critical software.
3. Understand and be a part of the development dynamics within the lifecycle of the projects.
