Environment
PSG EMEA is responsible to fulfill customer demand for the Commercial Desktop, Portables, Display, Workstations, Handhelds and accessories for all Go-to-markets (Direct & Indirect).
Within PSG EMEA Supply Chain organization, the PSG logistics organization operates in a Pan European, multicultural and multilingual business environment and is accountable for the logistics operational execution for the Channel, Direct and retail go to Markets.
The PSG logistics transportation Operations team is a dedicated team of Operational partner account mgrs , process improvement & program mgrs and reporting analyst who are responsible for managing and improving the delivery process and achieving best in class performance in terms of speed , predictability, service quality and costs across the various routes to Market . Our main linkages are the functional teams of PSG Supply Chain, Volume Direct & Channel Ops order mgt teams, EMEA logistics platform and the European forwarders teams which do business for HP and which we are responsible to manage.
We are looking for a team lead, based in Bucharest, to help us manage and further optimize our transportation Operations and support the transformation of the logistic network.
Team Lead Responsibilities
- Managing and developing a team of 6+ direct reports and acting as functional mgr within area of expertise (mentoring, guidance, team organization and objectives, team building, conflict resolution)
- Ensuring that PSG and the related GTMs are provided with a high level of service in relation to transportation operations, making sure that the selected forwarders operate their activities in line with the agreed SLAs
- This involves tight monitoring of transportation Operations and communication with forwarder ops teams, in order to cope with the level of flexibility , speed, predictability and quality required to support PSG growth across all segments and routes to Market
Primary responsibilities
- Drive and develop a team of 6+ direct reports responsible for the Operational account management of major European forwarders and for end to end delivery process
- Own the relationship with forwarders operations teams. This involves to closely interacting with other Bus counterparts and the Logistics platform Vendor Account Mgrs in order to ensure consistency of operational priorities and directions.
- Tightly monitor the operational transportation activities and ensure forwarder adherence to agreed SLAs. This requires tight business controls and strong focus on execution.
- Proactively identify risks and manage implementation of actions to mitigate impacts (quarter end, peak season, .etc).
- Identify and drive improvement opportunities to improve speed (end to end transportation TAT), predictability, quality of shipments and/or costs
Essential Requirements
- Experience in managing Supply Chain or logistic professionals is a plus
- Strong & proven process improvement /program management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Collaboration across organizations & influencing are essential
- Ability to resolve conflicting priorities to optimize business results
- Ability and interest to work in a complex and multi-cultural/-lingual business environment
- Fluent in English (spoken & written)
