HEAD OF LEGAL DEPARTMENT

- Law school graduate
- Strong legal background
- Minimum 3 years experience in insurances area
- Very good knowledge of commercial law, civil and criminal law, insurances law
- Management experience -at least 2 years
- Comprehensive interpersonal and management skills, good communication, negotiation and problem solving skills
- Confident, with winning attitude, very organized, determined and results oriented person
- Team player, self-motivated, positive atitude
- Ability to work in complex environments, with multiple projects and priorities
- Attention to details, with a commitment to high quality and accuracy
- Very good command of English
- Computer skills (Word, Excell, PowerPoint)
- Proven technical expertise in insurances legal matters
- To be member of The Romanian Body of the Legal Advisers is a plus.

Responsibilities

- Full responsibility for setting up and organizing the company's Legal Department. The job holder coordinates, organizes and prioritizes tasks for the team members
- Make sure that all company documents are prepared and reviewed and effective solutions are provided
- Provide legal advices/ opinions in divers legal matters
- Collaborate with company's partners
- Execute with a high degree of quality all the tasks assigned by the general manager of the company, follow-up on department's projects
- Support to the other departments on legal issues
- Be permanently informed of changes and actualizations through study and self-preparation
- Drafting of briefs on critical motions and appeals, case management, depositions and court appearances
- Review, draft and revise various types of documents such as contracts, policies, forms and procedures
- Represent the company in front of state institutions:Trade Registry Office, Romanian Policy (where applicable), Insurances Supervisory Commision
- Build and maintain effective relationships with third parties representatives and legal and national authorities to facilitate development , acceptance and implementation of the best legal solutions
- Protect company's reputation and ensures representation best interests in court cases and potential litigations by: build complelling business cases, monitor and follow-up on results, sustain and mitigate to successfully close the case
- Preparation of different types of reports: required by Insurances Supervisory Commision, reports required by group management and by the general manager of the company.
