HEAD OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY-QATAR

Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in Computing or Information Technology.
• Professional experiences : 12 years direct and relevant experience within oil / gas or petrochemical industry including 4 years in Senior Supervisory position.
• Specialized training in Programming, System Analysis, IT Project Management and IT Strategies.
• Supervisory and Leadership skills, with ability to lead IT Group to achieve Section's goals and targets
• Good command of English language.

This role heads the Information Technology Section comprised of various Groups charged with executing and controlling company’s IT operations, applications development and system support. The key contribution is to ensure that R&A targets are met and that section’s employees are developed and motivated to realize potential and make significant contributions.

Key accountabilities

• Plan, lead and organize the activities of the Section to ensure that the company’s IT investments, plans, procedures and programs are met.
• Formulate and monitor implementation of new IT policies and procedures.
• Prepare and approve sections annual plans and budgets.
• Evaluation, Selection and Purchase of Software and Hardware.
• Software licensing and maintenance contracts.
• Lead IT related projects in the capacity of Project Manager. Participate in the establishment and execution of Company level IT related strategies.
