Hardware Developer for Hybrid Electric Vehicle (IASI)

- University Degree (i.e. Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Informatics...)
- Good knowledge in analog and/or digital electronic design
- Knowledge of interface between hardware and software
- Knowledge of design tools (e.g.: MathCAD, ORCAD, PSpice)
- Knowledge in measuring and test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter)
- Automotive experience is an advantage
- Good English language skills are an advantage

The Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) represents the “greenest,” most economically, feasible option of personal transportation currently available on the market. It combines an internal combustion engine and an electric motor, providing high fuel economy, improved driveability and reduced emissions. As a member of our HEV ED (electric drive) platform software development team, you will be involved in the defining the future of this new innovative products, that not only make driving more affordable and environmentally sound, but also work towards our department vision: zero-emission mobility.

In Iasi location, HEV ED platform software development activities are focused on: on-board diagnosis (OBD), ECU Diagnosis (UDS), CAN communication, Failure management (DTCs), Operating system (OS) configuration. The working model could include varied tasks in all above areas, or a specialization in a certain field of activity.


As Hardware Development Engineer you'll be involved in:
Design, Calculate and Simulate hardware modules and schematics according to customer requirements
Perform worst case and FMEA analyses of the circuits
Collaborate with layout engineers for schematic entry and layout development
Perform EMC and FEA analyses and tests
Document the HW design
Create HW test specifications, perform HW tests and create the test reports
Support the SW team in developing the embedded SW applications
Cooperate with an international development team and customers

A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization.
