Hardware Compatibility and Sound Technician

For this software testing position we are looking for IT technicians with excellent knowledge of both audio and hardware setups as well as PC manipulation (component assembly, debugging OS, etc) and a moderate degree of quality control experience in software testing.
Activities will include game testing, hardware maintenance, end of day/week reports, audio debugging for development teams.

Profile:

- Excellent operational knowledge of Windows operating system
- Excellent hardware manipulation skills (in terms of assembly and debugging)
- Very good knowledge of audio hardware (sound cards, receivers, surround sound systems) and consoles
- Culture in video gaming - PC and console - and the equipment consoles.
- Good communication skills in English: speaking, writing and reading
- High school degree (background in IT oriented field represents an advantage)
- Moderate degree of quality control experience (at least 6 months of software testing for another company is an advantage)

Responsibilities:

Makes special test of the sound module ( for different set-ups like 2.1,5.1,7.1) for games developed or published by Ubisoft
Assures the software product quality by verifying the compatibility with a wide range of hardware
Identifies and reports all issues, following a standard format and presents the problem for the development team so that it can be easily identified and reproduced
Creates standard or specific reports following the tests on the sound module, as requested by the development teams.
In charge with the maintenance and purchase of new equipment ( where necessary)
