General Manager

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years work experience leading a team in the social or human service sector (the disability sector is preferred but not essential).
The minimum qualification is an appropriate third level qualification.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, have excellent networking, interpersonal and organisational development skills.
Influencing and diplomatic skills will be necessary to work positively with local and national government agencies.
He/she will be a strategically aware and financially astute leader to project and manage the organisations budget. He/she will have drive and imagination to manage and lead existing projects, develop new partnerships and identify innovative streams of funding.

We are currently seeking a General Manager to manage and develop FVB services, including a Day Centre, Group Home, semi-independent living service and training projects. The successful candidate will be based in Bucharest, Romania.
- Advise FVB Directors on matters of policy, legislation, organisational development and in-country action planning;
- Formulate forward plans and work programs;
- Ensure compliance by all staff with FVB policies and practices;
- Undertake all duties related to staff management, including recruitment, supervision, disciplinary, team building, performance appraisal and other staff contractual obligations;
- Be responsible for all aspects of office administration and the logistics required to support the projects;
- International travel is involved.
