Frontend Web Developer (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)

You will be working on large traffic websites, with millions of visitors per day and a big array of products. Your main responsibilities will include implementing user interfaces for new features, full new websites and improvements on the existing ones. Among them you can find social networking features, multimedia delivery, JavaScript and Flash chat systems, mobile-specific web development, JS intensive UIs optimized for performance and scalability.
You will be part of a young Amsterdam located team, and work closely with the development team in a relaxed performance-driven environment.
On the backend, you'll find coding done in Python, PHP, Perl, on GIT and SVN repositories, backed up by MySql, PostgreSQL databases and sometimes helped by memcached, Solr, Wowza.

The ideal candidate is highly skilled in JavaScript, familiar with JQuery and capable to write self-documenting code similar in quality with major open source projects.

You must
• Know your JavaScript inside-out
• Do frontend by choice, although you have deep understanding of backend coding
• Write clean cross-browser and compliant HTML and CSS code
• Have experience with templating systems integrated in MVC architectures
• Are familiar with version control systems
• Know your way on a linux machine and don't depend on FTP to communicate with a server
• Quickly slice PSD mockups (but don't depend on them to make the end result)
• Put usability before looks and fun
• Are self managed, proactive and flexible
Is nice to have web design(graphics) know-how, websites made from scratch(including backend) and answer regularly on stackoverflow questions.
