DESCRIEREA COMPANIEI:
Focus Sat Romania SA is a provider of digital satellite television.
Focus Sat Romania was founded in 2004 by five Romanian individuals and rapidly grew to a competitive service provider on the digital satellite television market
Focus Sat was the first to announce in November 2004 the launch of a Direct To Home (DTH) platform in Romania. In March 2005 the company started the commercial service, although technically it was available since December 2004.
On May 30, 2005 UPC Romania, the affiliate of the international media and communications group UnitedGlobalCom (UGC), acquired 50% of the Romanian DTH operator Focus Sat. This acquisition is part of UGC’s development strategy in Central and Eastern Europe.
