FEA Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for someone with several years of Structural Analysis experience in Stress, Fatigue and/or Damage, as well as experience in any of the following: Metallic stress analysis, Composite stress analysis, Linear and non-linear finite element analysis (FEA), Fatigue and damage calculus, Structural dynamics, Aero-structures. The ideal candidate has to be a creative, analytical person who enjoys the challenge of an unknown field and is willing to explore it. He/she is dynamic, flexible and communicative. He/she has to be proactive and persuasive in presenting his suggestions, opinions or ideas. Furthermore, the following qualities are required:
• Bachelor degree in Mechanics, Mechatronics or Electrotechnics
• Familiarity with finite element analysis and CAE software
• Understanding of strength of material, fracture, and elastic-plastic behavior of materials
• Knowledge in MSC Patran/Nastran or MSC Adams; Ansys; Algor; Abaqus; Hypermesh; LMS Virtual.Lab
• Knowledge of MS Office tools plus MathCad
• Knowledge of IC packaging technologies
• Driving license
• Availability for business trips
• Good spoken, read and written English

Responsibilities:
• Mesh preparation on a CAD model or modifying an existing model
• Preprocessing the model with finite elements
• Postprocessing the model with finite elements, including the tensions analysis
• Comparing different FEA programs
• Performs structural analysis using established tools to influence design decisions and demonstrate structural integrity against product requirements.
• Reports analyses to the appropriate documentation standard required by the client.
• Takes ownership of technical tasks.
• Communicates effectively with colleagues and clients (internal and external).
• Seeks continued improvement in processes.
• Provides support to in-service products by analyzing structural damage and repairs.

The chosen candidate will be involved in top level CAE category projects from automotive, nuclear and aviation industries.
