Experienced Engineers

The GES division of HPS is responsible for providing remote engineering services and on-site support for HPS’s global portfolio of automation projects. In this capacity, GES offers detailed engineering services (graphics design, control systems configuration and engineering, advanced control solutions) as well as on-site services (assistance for Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)’s, Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)’s, installation and commissioning). There are currently 650 employees of GES in various locations across the globe, with 45 individuals located at the Romania centre. GES hopes to develop this centre into a major provider of a broad suite of engineering and site services for HPS projects.

The candidates we are looking for must possess:
-Graduate degree in one of the following subjects (preferably, but not exclusive): Electronics and Telecommunications, Automatics and IT;
-Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering and design for industry (oil & gas, power, petrochemicals, other industries) in the area of control systems engineering or industrial automation;
-Excellent availability to assimilate new technical knowledge and handy with PC applications;
-Positive attitude, willing to work and learn, responsibility for own actions and decisions, good team payer;
-Very good communication skills (writing, speaking) in English; fluency in French, German or other European languages is a plus.
-Availability to travel in the country and abroad.

Key Responsibilities:

oTo provide engineering services for Honeywell systems. Projects are developing Human Machine Interface (HMI) graphics, configuration and control applications for Experion Process Knowledge System (PKS) (Honeywell control system) and safety engineering. The engineer shall acquire good knowledge to work in all these three fields. Based on his aptitudes and preferences he shall develop more one of them in order to become a good expert in the chosen field.
oTo understand and apply of Honeywell quality procedures and HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) procedures.
oFocus on continuous improvement and development of professional skills.
oTo implement standard engineering solutions to successful completion and within budgeted time and cost constraints. May occasionally be required to work on customized engineering solutions.
oTypically works on technical matters with little supervision, across a wide range of activities in a particular engineering discipline:
-Ensures that required prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, and documentation) are in place prior to commencing work.
-Produces part(s) of total functional design specifications under supervision.
-Produces technical design specifications under supervision.
-Executes Implementation work assignments to appropriate standards and quality systems.
-Executes Test work assignments to appropriate standards and quality systems.
-Executes Documentation work assignments to appropriate standards and quality systems.
-Shares technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline and other engineering disciplines
-Reports progress and technical problems to project and engineering supervisor.
-Pro-actively identifies potential quality and efficiency improvements within assigned work.
