Chief Accountant

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics or equivalent
•At least 2 years experience in a similar position, preferably in a multinational environment;
•Fluent spoken and written English;
•Good knowledge of Statutory and IAS accounting;
•Dynamic and dedicated person, good team player and good coordinating and interpersonal skills with ability to achieve results;
•Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
•Knowledge of SCALA will be consider as a plus, but not mandatory.

•Reports to Company’s CFO
•Responsible for month-end closing process and produces monthly and annual financial statements. Responsible for the implementation of local and group accounting policies.
•Organizes accounting books according to Romanian regulations and fiscal laws
•Supervising and coordinating the activity of accounting team
•Managing tax position and relation with fiscal authorities.
•Plan, organize and coordinate activities for external audit.
•Compiles financial information and assists in the preparation of reports.
•Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions and events according to the financial procedures
•Keeps abreast of laws and regulations that apply to accountancy professional expertise to maintain up-to-date compliance.
•Initiates and processes journal entries into various accounts.
•Reconciles sub-ledgers to the general ledger and resolves differences.
•Provides information to CFO when requested; explains accounting transactions; resolves accounting issues and discrepancies.
•Uses various software applications, such as accounting and financial software applications, spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.
•Applies a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; verifies documents for completeness and compliance with government and company’s financial operating manual
