Professional Experience and Expertise
Mandatory:
• 4+ years experience of software development/support
• 3+ years of Java experience
• Able to understand N-tier and 3-tier architectures
• Experienced with J2SE 1.4/1.5, Servlets, JSP, EJB 2.0, Weblogic 8, Eclipse
• Good knowledge of communication protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, RMI
• Good Oracle query optimization skills
• Good ANSI-SQL and PL/SQL knowledge
• Very good knowledge of XML

Personal characteristics
• Disciplined worker - self starter, capable of managing own work and sticking to deadlines
• Excellent communication skills (written/spoken English)

The Senior Software Specialist plays a very important role in the overall strategy of maintaining the multimedia applications portfolio for the client.

Main responsibilities are:

• Develop new functionalities for the existing products
• Diagnostic/tuning the performance
• Estimate the deployment hardware schema based on users/clients forecast
• Ensure implementation of coding and release methods and standards
• Impact Analysis for application functionalities change/new functionalities or upgrade of platforms/third party frameworks/tools
• Provide support for the applications deployed in production: bug fixing, configuration changes/optimization
• Write and execute unit tests for the code/configuration changes/new development
• Ensure that all support processes and procedures are maintained and followed
• Ensure that all required documentation is produced and maintained
• Support other Support Engineer in their deliverables
