| CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
- oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of books and book orders on a daily basis;
- Inventory management-overseeing stock control and processing (incoming and outgoing) orders;
- monitor income and expenses and prepare regular reports for the COO;
- supervise daily operations and processes such as: shipping process, inventory listing, shelf picking process, incoming shipments schedule, taking care that all relevant supplies are available for the smooth running of the activity;
- supervise product quality control and implement QM
- prepare regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for the COO regarding the London operations;
- supervise wholesale and internet orders, making sure they are properly prepared and shipped out in time
- keeping stock control systems up to date and planning future capacity requirements, managing efficiently the warehouse space;
- communicate with relevant parties in the Company from the other offices;
- maintain relationship with publishers, book dealers and customers, carriers, suppliers;
- find new shipping strategies (both within UK and international), new carriers, negotiate contracts;
- manage a team of workers and deal with personnel issues such as: hiring, recruiting, training and discipline of staff;
- give feedback to technical department about the internal tools used;
- make sure all tasks are performed efficiently;
- elaborate a cost effective time management of tasks ;
- ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock | RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
- 2 years of experience in a logistics department or warehouse management;
- university graduate;
- capable of meeting targets and dead-lines with little or no supervision;
- able to deal with planning, administration and general management issues but at the same time having a 'hands-on' work approach;
- excellent skills in communication, problem solving, decision-making, prioritizing work and organizing
- good people skills, be pleasant and courteous and posses a great deal of patience when working under pressure;
- a calm level headed approach;
- a high level of interpersonal skills and managerial abilities;
- good numeric and IT skills, particularly spreadsheets and databases;
- leadership, motivational and team working skills;
- experience in managing a team of employees;
- fluency in english both written and spoken is a must
- willing to relocate for a long period of time;
- proactive, flexible,
- interest in books, knowledge about books is a serious plus.
