JAVA TEAM LEADER

Requirements

Mandatory skills:

- Very good knowledge of Java and J2EE;
- Active experience with Java/J2EE;
- Active experience as Java Team Leader in structured teams;
- Active experience with Spring 2, Hibernate 3, JUnit;
- Good knowledge of OOA-OOP, UML, ability to architect and design software products;
- Good understanding of client-server and service oriented architectures;
- Motivated and dependable, has initiative, understands responsibility, team player;
- Abilities to lead, inspire, motivate and mentor people;
- Very good written and spoken English communication skills.

Desirable skills:

- Active experience with JEE 5, JSE 5/6, JSF, BEA WebLogic Portal Server, portlets, JDBC/SQL, SQL Server 2005;
- Eclipse, Subversion/CVS, Cruise Control, Windows, Linux.

Project description

The customer is a world renowned financial institution, providing insurance and reinsurance solutions worldwide.
The first project will handle consolidation across 3 countries for policy recording, claims and reporting systems.


Job description

You will be required to lead a software development team, be responsible for every aspect of the project’s technical delivery, participate in logical and physical design of the product and understand the business requirements. You will solve complex technical problems that your team members may encounter, assign and track their work with the help of a PM, review and enforce the quality of code written by your team, tutor junior developers.
Occasionally you can be involved in geographically distributed projects and you will have to work for short periods of time in other Endava Delivery Centers (i.e. in London-UK).
