RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:

Responsibilities:
• checking and ensuring that an adequate supply of safety equipment is provided. Ensuring that the location and accessibility of these items are known and that records concerning this equipment are maintained
• ensuring that all personnel, including subcontractors are informed of the safety procedures and conditions existing on site and that they are instructed in the required safety techniques. The Safety Officer will also require them to report any hazard that may occur in time to prevent an accident
• instructing the subcontractors that all accidents and injuries must be reported to the Safety Officer immediately. The subcontractor shall then investigate the accident, analyse the causes and take preventive action
• maintaining a record of each accident showing time and manner, the area in which it happened, the outcome of the accident, the action taken to remedy the cause and the action taken to prevent a recurrence. Also preparing a report of all accidents, unless of a very minor nature, for submission to the Resident Site Manager and Safety Coordinator.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor Degree in HSE/Management or related science/engineering area preferred;
• extensive knowledge of HSE standards, rules, and regulations and proficiency in applying them to projects or facilities
• well developed proficiency in conducting HSE training programs
Required Competencies/ Skills:
• ability to work independently to develop, implement and supervise the Project HSE Execution Plan. Duties require accurate judgment, a high degree of initiative, and sound technical understanding of one or more HSE disciplines
• PC Skills: good knowledge of Word, Excel
• good level of spoken / written English
