Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
The job holder is responsible for:
• Supervising contractor(s) design activities to ensure that the technical requirements are met
• Providing support to the Engineering contractor(s), in implementing, through their execution, the Corrosion Control Philosophy and Material Selection Guides (MSG) of the surface facilities and the export pipeline, defined during the FEED phase, verifying that Contractor(s) are performing consistently in material selection and in compliance with the project philosophies and specification.
• Liasing with the material engineers of the contractor to ensure a common approach and proper application of the material selection philosophy.
• Verifying proper application of Coating, Painting and Lining Materials Specifications of the project.
• Implementing the Corrosion inhibition and monitoring philosophies to ensure adequate measure for corrosion control in service life.
• Participating in multidiscipline work task groups for engineering review of contractor deliverables and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintaining effective communications and good relations with contractor counterparts to ensure engineering activities are completed in accordance with the Project Execution Plan.
• Ensuring project technical requirements within discipline areas are satisfied including safety, operability, maintainability, reliability, flexibility, efficiency and “fit-for-purpose”.
