Fluids Engineer-Location Kazakhstan, Major Oil Company, Onshore/Offshore, rotation 42/21 (28/28 Offshore), one year contract

• Graduated level in technical/engineering disciplines.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in drilling/well testing/completion/work over operations, including at least 3 years of field experience, preferably off-shore.
• Successful experience in recycling of Drilling Waste from Drilling Activities.
• Operational experience in treatment of Drilling Waste contaminated with oil and H2S.
• Experience on drilling through loss circulation zones and carbonate reservoirs and on the advanced techniques in curing circulation losses.
• Intimate knowledge of Drilling Fluids Operations.
• Good knowledge in Water Treatment and Technology.
• Aware of the advanced HSE management system requirements.
• Capable to identify hazards and risks in relations to well operations and elaborate/propose mitigation actions.
• Computer literate, with the scope of producing reports, and organize data.
• Team player, capable of working with professionals from different organizations and lead the contracted service companies.
Good written and verbal communication skills and fluent in English language.

• Identify, formulate and implement of the well fluids systems as requested by the relevant programmers and operational activities.
• Identify eventual hazards/risks relevant to the area of competence, evaluate and propose the most suitable mitigation measures together with the operations fluid & waste superintendent as well as preparing the waste management program for operational activity.
• Prepare the detailed Mud/Cement/ /Well-bore clean up programs to be included in the approved Well Programmers.
• Promote, define and evaluate the laboratories and RD departments study related to the fluids and waste management optimization.
• Prepare/revise the technical documentation, including specifications for tendering for products and services relevant to the area of competence.
• Evaluate the technical offers from tender exercises aimed at the procurement of the materials/service relevant to the area of competence.
• Participate and evaluate the Fluids and Waste management technical part call for Tender.
• Be the relevant Service Contractors reference point in order to ensure quality services in terms of time, cost and quality related to Cementing, Drilling, Work Over fluids and waste management.
• Monitor the operational fluids service performance, in term of planned and final cost for Fluids and Waste management together with the operations fluid & waste superintendent.
• Evaluate the actual results vs. planned to identify improvements applicable to future activities.
• Provide data and analyses for statistical purposes, lab research and feed-back to be accounted for contractual purposes.
• Prepare the fluids related section of the End of Activity reports, in cooperation with the fluid & waste superintendent.
If requested, ensures training for local technical staff, to train them up to the Company standard.
Safety Responsibilities:
In accordance with the Company HSE-MS, the Fluid Engineer shall:
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
• Be fully familiar with the policies and procedures related to the management of chemical and hazardous substances and wastes management.
• Identify risks and hazard related to the specific activities being executed and report on them to the line of responsibility.
• If requested, contribute to preparation of the HSE case.
If required, participate to HSE audits, conformance/non conformance reporting.
